Fall Reflection & Winter Program

Updated: Feb 27, 2022

Thanks so much families for an amazing fall after school program! We were able to play and explore High Park from 3-6pm in a drop-in style format.

Some Fall inspirations that really pumped the kids up were;

- Constructing animal shelters from natural materials and imagining what mystical creatures might live there.

- Brainstorming, directing and filming scary movies with flashlights and costumes.

- Balancing on various logs and trying different movements for balance.

- Doing Wim Hof breathing and movements before playing games to warm-up our bodies.

- Teaching french songs and playing “French school," where the kids are the teachers.

We also tested out our first HUMAN SCHOOL BUS experience, where I walked to the nearby elementary school to pick up kids. Then, we met our other friends at the park. Big shoutout to Roxana for this amazing idea! I am excited to continue this tradition.

Winter Program

Winter is here! I am excited to run a program after school from 3-5pm (since sunset is earlier), starting January 11th, 2022 and going throughout the winter!

The focus will be letting out energy, playing and creating games, sharing our learning and inspirations from school in an outdoor setting and learning about winter survival.

So far, we will run the program on Tuesday's, Wednesday's & Thursday's at High Park from 3-5pm. I am happy to discuss other days/times if there is enough of a demand.

Kids must wear winter-appropriate attire or they will be sent home. Attire: hats, waterproof gloves, sturdy winter boots, thick socks & spare gloves/socks in backpacks, always! They are also welcome to bring any winter equipment or toys they want to test out.

We love following inspirations!

Usual Logistics

Please add your child’s name to the Sign-Up Sheet the Sunday before the week begins. Please mention arrival/departure time if different from 3-5pm program.

If numbers go below 3 children for a program it will be cancelled. Quigley will post all updates via WhatsApp Group the night before.
